  • Just to be clear, we're talking about $21,000 in travel expenses that so far have not been ruled in violation of Alaska state law. In the scope of government spending, $21,000 is insignificant.

    If there is an aspect of the story that's troubling to me it's the part about her altering the expense reports once they had been requested. Apparently she added additional information about why her kids traveled with her. But again, I'm not sure there is anything illegal here. Maybe unethical, but not illegal.
