Website woes

  • i've tried reinstalling the website portion of xbmc a few times now but with each attempt i'm met with the following error:

    pragma: no-cache cache-control: no-cache content-type: text/html

    since i've tried a fresh install a few times i'm thinking the problem is some setting in my xml. anyone experience this before?

  • double click the main page to edit it. add a new line for the link (basically just needs to have a mixed caps double word in it such as xbmcwebserverproblem). save the changes.

    then click the ? that pops up next to it.

    if you go to the main page now, you'll see i just created it. all you should need to do now is click the ? and then edit the resulting page.

  • ah. thanks. that was was easy. i was looking around for something to add a new page. i added the info to the page.

    you hit the nail on the head! checked last night and noticed the time had gotten off. added a time server and everything came right up!

  • why is it so hard to give more details? :veryangry:

    first of, use the "webskin" available on www.critikill.net
    secondly, there's no editing in .xml for webserver in recent versions, you simply enable it under settings

    i've tried 2 different skins thus far witih the same result. *but i'll give the one a shot you listed!

    edited to add that i just downloaded the project mayhem files, deleted my current web directory, and uploaded the new ones. same error :/

    i tried to add this to the wiki just now, but i cant figure out how to create a new page. this should be added to the troubleshooting page. its asked quite often.


  • just add a new "wiki link word" ie one like mylinkhere (with 2 caps somewhere). it'll then allow you to add the new page by clicking the ? mark.


  • that error usually comes up when your clock isnt set correctly.
